Health Tips from AlinkA Farm: Dealing with Anxiety

Applying the Ancient Wisdom: Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) – Tips from Molly Li

A lot of people search on Google “how to deal with anxiety”.

In this post, Molly shares her thoughts on this topic and gives some tips (practical tips on meditation and belief).

First, your perspective matters. Who and what you believe in matters. Christ matters in your life.

God’s love is to take care of need…

This is the attitude I want to share with you because it helps me to stay afloat and do my work here at AlinkA Farm – day by day.

And, of course, it is human to feel anxiety from time to time, and anxiety needs to be dealt with on many different levels. Here are some of the things I do when I notice anxiety creeping in.

  1. Mind: Ask yourself what really is causing your anxiety. It might be something in your environment which you might need to become aware of. If so, don’t panic – just notice it.  And accept it as it is (if you cannot change or influence it it).
  2. Body: Do some deep breathing exercises, try to focus on your breath.
  3. Soul: Meditate on your breathing. Just follow your breath – in and out, in and out. Follow the breath enter through the nose – and imagine breathing in brilliant white light. Feel the light filling your body as you breathe it in. Breathe out all the negativity and fear. This meditation should help you to feel more stable again. And this technique can be practiced within re a reflection group, too.  (Here at the farm, we use our yurt for these meditation sessions 🙂
  4. Environment: look into your life to see whether there is something you should do to improve yourself (do what you can do and let go of what you cannot influence).
